Cat Spotter
Cloudflare WorkersTypeScriptD1R2
Cat Spotter is a lightweight community app for tracking local cats. Anyone in the community can log a sighting, and the home page shows all known cats sorted by when they were last spotted.
The backend runs entirely on Cloudflare’s free tier: a Worker handles routing and request logic, D1 (serverless SQLite) stores cat records and sighting timestamps, and R2 holds the cat photos. There’s no server to manage and no bill to pay.
The project started as a Go HTTP server before being rewritten in TypeScript for Cloudflare Workers. The Go version is preserved in the repo but no longer deployed.
